Abu Dhabi will soon witness the rise of three more COVID-19 testing centers that conduct rapid laser tests.

For only Dh50 per test, Abu Dhabi residents can soon be allowed to leave and re-enter the emirate provided they show their results within 48 hours.

Abu Dhabi Health Services (SEHA) will launch these centers at three locations: Zayed Sports City, Corniche area, and Hili area in Al Ain.

Residents who wish to take the COVID-19 rapid laser tests should book appointments through SEHA’s smart application.

Local newspapers report that slots for these centers will be available from August 1.

However, authorities warn that those whose results show that they need to do a PCR test should prepare an extra Dh320 as they will be required to do the swab test on the spot.

“In case the DPI testing showed a necessity to conduct a PCR test, the patient will have to be subjected to it at the same centre for Dh320,” said authorities.

The person will then be advised to go under quarantine at her/his home until results are available.
