The Food and Drug Administration (DFA) affirmed that it will “quickly approve” the license application of popular brand of canned goods Reno Liver Spread upon its completion of requirements.
FDA Director-General Eric Domingo said in an interview with Teleradyo show that Reno wrote to them apologizing for failing to get a license to continue manufacturing its product.
Domingo said the food manufacturer has already applied for a license and they are only awaiting the company to complete the requirements.
“They wrote to us and apologized because they weren’t able to have their product registered,” Domingo said. “As long as these requirements are complete, the FDA will quickly approve [their application].”
“They registered in 2017 to get a license to operate as a manufacturer of food. Their factory passed [the test] and we advised them to [have their product] registered but they weren’t able to do so,” he added.
Last September 17, Reno became a trending topic on social media after the FDA included it from the list of its banned products.
