Filipino talents who have been featured on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”

Singer Marcelito Pomoy recently appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” wherein he showcased his “doble kara” singing talent and shared his life story before he became a singer in the Philippines.

During his appearance on the show, he recounted his story on how he came from being a homeless man to a successful singer in the Philippines. He also sang “The Prayer” and “Beauty and the Beast” which impressed the show’s host, Ellen DeGeneres herself.

Just like Pomoy, undiscovered talents from all over the world dream of appearing on the said show to somehow make their Hollywood dreams come true, and many Filipino talents have already been given the once in a lifetime experience of sharing the stage and talking to DeGeneres.

When one would hear “Filipinos on Ellen”, he or she will immediately think of “Charice” or “Arnel Pineda”, but there are still a myriad of other Filipino talents which have been featured on this well-viewed television talk show.

Noah Ascano

Geography prodigy Noah Ascano impressed Ellen when he was only 3 years old because of his familiarity with different countries around the world. Noah seemingly knows every country, even the unfamiliar ones, from its flag, capital, continent, etc.

On his second appearance on the show, Ellen once again put Noah to the test. When Ellen flashed the map of the Philippines, Noah said that he loves the country because his parents and grandparents were from there.

Kai Langer

Filipino-Czech Kai Langer first appeared on Ellen in 2013 when he was only 4 years old. On his first guest appearance on the show, he serenaded Ellen with Bruno Mars’ hit song “Grenade”.

Since then, Kai has made other appearances on the show. Thanks to his TV guesting, he was able to meet famous pop singers like Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran.

Aldrich Talonding and James Bucong

Ellen found Aldrich Talonding and his cousin James Bucong after their cover version of Luther Vandross’ “Dance With My Father” went viral online.

The esteemed TV host invited the two to her show and in 2013, Aldrich and James, who hailed from General Santos City, flew to the US to appear and perform on Ellen.
