Exactly on August 12, Swift officially revealed the title of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, while keeping full details under wraps.
The announcement followed a mysterious countdown on her official website with the message “Expires August 12 at 12:12 AM [Eastern Time].”
On the podcast, Swift held up a blurred album cover and said, “So I wanted to show you something… This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” offering fans only a brief glimpse of what’s coming.
She also teased the release on social media by posting a photo of an orange glittery padlock against a mint green background.
This will be Swift’s first studio album since the massive success of her Eras tour. Pre-order for the album is already available on her website.
