Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen believes that Harnaaz Sandhu was destined to win the most coveted Miss Universe 2021 crown.
In a Facebook post, Sushmita congratulated her fellow Indian beauty queen who bagged their country’s third Miss Universe crown.
Sushmita won her Miss Universe crown in 1994 which was held in Manila.
“Thank you for representing India so beautifully, for bringing back the Miss Universe Crown to India after 21 years (by a 21 year old, you were destined),” she said.
“May you enjoy every moment of learning & sharing this incredible global platform @missuniverse will provide you. May you reign supreme,” Sushmita added.
India last won a Miss Universe title in 2000 with Lara Dutta.
Lara also congratulated the new Miss Universe on her Twitter account.
“Welcome to the club! We’ve waited 21 long years for this! You make us so so proud! A billion dreams come true!” she said.
