Michael Argente, more popularly known as Kim Idol, has passed away today, July 13. He was 41.
His death was confirmed by his friends on their social media accounts.
TV host Allan K wrote, “You were one of the best talents Klownz and Zirkoh have ever had. One of the funniest on and off stage.”
“You will always be remembered by people whose lives you touched through comedy. Rest in peace, Kim Idol. We will miss you,” Allan K added.
Kim’s death came days after he was found unconscious in his room in the Philippine Arena.
He was working as a volunteer frontliner as quarantine officer in the field hospital under the Bureau of Quarantine for the country’s battle against COVID-19.
His close friend Michael Conjusta also took to Instagram to pay tribute to the comedian. “Akala ko ba gusto mo pang bumalik dito? I feel sad. Rest in peace my friend, Michael ‘Kim Idol’ Argente.”
“We know you are in a better place and one day we shall meet again. Condolence to Melissa Argente and family,” he added.
In 2015, the comedian revealed that he was suffering from Arteriovenous Malformation, a condition in which blood and oxygen flow in the brain gets disrupted due to tangled blood vessels.
