Kapamilya TV host Jolina Magdangal has explained why her reunion movie with the former love team Marvin Agustin will no longer push through.
Fans of the hit 90s loveteam were excited to see them again together on the big screen.
“Dapat talaga mayroon kaming movie this year, and I think si Marvin kasi ang producer eh, tapos ang balak talaga ni Marvin ay gawin namin ito for Metro Manila Film Festival,” Jolina told ABS-CBN News in an interview.
She added that MMFF is so strict with its rules and they had difficulties with all the pre-production aspect.
“Pero ngayon kasi, sobrang naging strict na sa Metro Manila Film Festival, marami na rin naging rules. So noong time na ‘yun, parang nahirapan na kami, mayroon ng istorya, mayroon ng script, pero hindi pa namin masyado napag-uusapan,” she said.
The actress also added that she does not want to rush their reunion movie.
“Mayroon palang rules na kailangan na-shoot na nang ganitong month, eh medyo nahuli ata kami and si Marvin. Siya talaga ‘yung nakikipag-meeting doon, and hindi kami aabot. So hindi namin pwede ipilit. Ayaw naman namin ng hilaw kasi comeback ‘yun ‘di ba? Ang tagal namin bago gumawa ulit ng movie,” Jolina explained.
The TV host assured their fans that they will still do a reunion movie but they will now focus on the material first.
“Definitely matutuloy ‘yun. Tapos mas pinagtutuunan pa namin ng pansin ‘yung istorya,” she assured.
“Kasi parang na-excite din kami kung ano pang pwedeng istorya ang pwedeng sa amin lang na after ng ilang years, and talagang iba na rin ‘yung atake namin sa bawat eksena. So, exciting,” Jolina revealed.
