Anne Curtis asks media to stop asking women on pregnancy, marriage

Kapamilya TV host Anne Curtis told the media to stop asking women about pregnancy or marriage.

In a media briefing for her noontime show “It’s Showtime,” Curtis, who’s married to Erwan Heussaff, was asked again on her baby plans.

“I think I should take this opportunity [to say] that the press should stop asking that to any woman, because you don’t know what they’re going through,” Curtis said.

The actress however clarified that she is open about having a baby and it will happen in God’s perfect time.

“For me, it will happen in God’s time, and I think at any time I’m ready for it. But I’m speaking for every woman. You don’t know what they’re going through,” she told the press.

Curtis explained that to some women who have been trying to become pregant, repeated questions on baby plans may be offensive.

“I have a lot of friends who may be trying, and medyo nakakasakit when people keep asking them, ‘When are you going to have a baby?’ Maybe they just don’t want to have a baby,” she said.

Her ‘It’s Showtime’ co-host Vice Ganda also said that the pregnancy issue has been the new “normal” among members of the media.
