‘Ang bakla ay bakla’: Ricky Reyes explains stand on LGBT, SOGIE issues

Gay icon and hair stylist Ricky Reyes has defended his stand on Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender (LGBT) community which drew flak from its supporters.

Reyes’s statements came at the height of the issue on passing the SOGIE equality bill.

Reyes said.

Reyes clarified that she only wanted LGBT members to know their place in society.

Reyes also said that he has nothing against LGBT members, and he is one of them.

“I don’t have anything against LGBT. Bakla rin ako, e. Numero uno akong bakla,” the celebrity stylist added.

Reyes said that he realized that being a member of the LGBT community means that you have to strive hard in order to have a better life.

Reyes added that there are more pressing issues that senators should look into rather than focusing on restrooms.

Hello? Ang daming Pilipinong nagugutom. Maraming mga out-of-school youth,” Mother Ricky said.

  2. I totally agree with the Ricky Reyes article, comments and opinion. Gays and lesbians are accepted for what they are or what they have become. No need to be screaming mad about it by dressing up opposite of the gender Up Above has made them. Tanggapin kung ano ka ng pinanganak ka and what you have become or your feelings for the same sex have developed over the years – no need to go beyond necessary boundaries. As for the Senate, totally agree, too, that there are far more pressing matters in our country to deal with immediately as it has already been overlooked over the years because of politicians’ corruption and obsessions on buying/winning votes. Please concentrate on creating jobs and making our country, particularly the whole Metro Manila, clean.
