Hundreds of Filipinos across the United Arab Emirates are expected to gather to a Philippine Independence Day celebration in Dubai on June 13, 2026.
The Filipino Social Club has invited Filipino organizations, churches, schools, and companies throughout the UAE to participate in the Community Unity Parade and a day-long celebration to commemorate the 128th anniversary of Philippine independence.
The event will be held at Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 of the Dubai World Trade Centre from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., with free admission for the public.
Organizers said this year’s festivities aim to showcase Filipino culture, talent, and unity while strengthening the sense of community among overseas Filipinos in the UAE.
Among the highlights are the Filipino Community Unity Parade, “The Best of Philippine Festivals Showdown,” the Philippine Chorale Festival, the Festival Queen Competition, a concert for Filipinos, and various sports tournaments and cultural activities.
Several competitions focusing on science, robotics, arts, and academics will also be staged, alongside traditional Filipino games and a Pinoy Street Bazaar featuring regional delicacies and local products.
Free basic medical check-ups will be offered during the celebration, while volunteers and outstanding members of the Filipino community will be recognized through various awards programs.
Aside from the June 13 gathering, organizers said Independence Month activities will also include a thanksgiving mass, mall activations, a Filipino gala night, and the lighting of the Burj Khalifa with the colors of the Philippine flag.
The Filipino Social Club is encouraging all Filipino communities in the UAE to take part in the festivities as a celebration of national pride and solidarity among Filipinos abroad.
