Yeng Constantino says sorry after her ‘Siargao hospital’ rant receives backlash

After finding herself under fire on social media, singer Yeng Constantino has apologized to the doctor she accused of not doing her job in Siargao.

Last weekend, her husband accidentally suffered memory loss due to a diving incident. She lamented the lack of medical practitioners and facilities in the area.

In a Facebook post, Constantino explained that she was at the height of her emotion when she did the video.

“Regarding the Siargao incident, yung mga recent posts ko was brought about by my high emotions dahil sa nangyari sa aking asawa whose life at that time I thought was in grave danger,” her Facebook post read.

The singer revealed that she had spoken to some people and realized that she should have been more responsible when posting anything on social media.

“I would like to apologize to Dr. Esterlina Tan and the other medical staff for the hurt that my post and vlog has caused them. Whatever concerns I had should have been coursed through the proper forum. It was unfair to call her out on social media and I’m taking down the posts and the vlog immediately,” Constanstino said.

“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt I caused her at sa lahat ng mga medical professionals who were affected by my posts. There is no excuse. I will do my best to be more responsible next time,” the singer further explained.

To recall, Constantino posted her rant about her ‘traumatic experience’ in a vlog, which reached more than a million views.

The singer said that there was no adequate medical equipment in Dapa Siargao Hospital. She also showed a photo of the doctor.
