While everyone is waiting for his highly-anticipated showbiz comeback, Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz took some time to make a 90-year-old fan feel extra special on her birthday.

As seen in a Facebook video uploaded by Shing Araneta Pacaña, the 90-year-old fan who was identified as Lola Vicenta was all smiles when Cruz made a surprise appearance on her party which was held at Cebu Grand Convention Center last April 5.

Looking casual in his polo, shorts, and brown rubber shoes, Cruz approached Lola Vicenta on stage to give her a hug and sit next to her.

Pacaña said the caption of her Facebook post that her grandmother felt like she was 18 years old again when she saw Cruz attend her party.

In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph, Pacaña further said that her grandmother has been a huge fan of Cruz.

She said that they only requested for a video greeting from Cruz and they did not expect that the actor will go the extra mile to make a personal appearance during the party.

“We just requested for a video greeting from John Lloyd.

“Then minutes after my grandma’s thank you message to her guests, John Lloyd surprised her.

“He arrived and went straight and sat down with our lola,” PEP.ph quoted Pacaña as saying.

Pacaña said that Lola Vicenta “was the happiest that night” as she has been a “big fan of John Lloyd ever since”.

Pacaña introduced herself as the cousin of Kim Araneta-Adarna, Ellen Adarna’s sister-in-law.

“So yung brother ni Ellen ang nagpapunta kay JL sa party,” she said.
