Talent manager and showbiz writer Ogie Diaz have addressed bashers who have criticized celebrity couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil after the two admitted the real score between them.

It can be recalled that the perennial on-screen love team sent their fans into frenzy after confirming that they have been a real-life couple for more than two years now.

During their appearance on Vice Ganda’s late-night comedy talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice”, the two were asked about the true state of their relationship.

“Kayo na ba?” Vice Ganda asked them.

Gil replied with a simple “Yes” which drew reactions from the audience.

Liza also confirmed that they have been together for more than two years and that they will be celebrating their anniversary in October.

However, while most fans are happy that Soberano and Gil were able to take their on-screen chemistry and develop it to a real-life romantic relationship, there were some who said that there revelation is a publicity stunt since they have a movie that will hit Philippine theaters soon.

Some bashers also pointed out that the Soberano and Gil’s relationship is irrelevant and is not the answer to the country’s real-life problems.

Diaz, who stands as Soberano’s talent manager, decided to address the negativity through a lengthy Facebook post.

Here’s what he has to say.

Since their love team became popular in 2014, Soberano and Gil have been inseparable and have even revealed that they have romantic attractions towards each other.

Many of their co-stars have revealed that the couple is sweet to each other even when the cameras are off, and they have even travelled to different parts of the world together including London, Paris, and Madrid.

Gil and Soberano are set to appear on their new movie “Alone/Together” which will hit Philippine theaters on February 13.
