It can be recalled that the perennial on-screen love team sent their fans into frenzy after confirming that they have been a real-life couple for more than two years now.

Gil replied with a simple “Yes” which drew reactions from the audience.

However, while most fans are happy that Soberano and Gil were able to take their on-screen chemistry and develop it to a real-life romantic relationship, there were some who said that there revelation is a publicity stunt since they have a movie that will hit Philippine theaters soon.

Some bashers also pointed out that the Soberano and Gil’s relationship is irrelevant and is not the answer to the country’s real-life problems.

Diaz, who stands as Soberano’s talent manager, decided to address the negativity through a lengthy Facebook post.
