WATCH: Fil-Am singer Angelica Hale returns to “America’s Got Talent”, earns second Golden Buzzer

Filipino-American singer Angelica Hale made history by becoming the first “America’s Got Talent” contestant to earn two Golden Buzzer wins.

The Golden Buzzer is given by one of the show’s judges which will automatically send a contestant into the live shows

Hale first appeared on the 12th season of “America’s Got Talent” in 2017. She finished as a runner-up behind singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer.

On that said season, she earned a Golden Buzzer during the Judges Cuts round from guest judge Chris Hardwick, after covering Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire”.

Now, the 10-year-old singer is trying her luck once again and joined the said talent competition for the second time around through “AGT: The Champions”.

“AGT: The Champions” is a spin-off of “America’s Got Talent” wherein winners, finalists, and notable acts from previous seasons and other Got Talent franchises all over the world would compete against each other.

During the third episode of the said show, Hale auditioned once again and performed a powerful rendition of Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song”.

After her performance, she earned a standing ovation from the judges, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel.

“She was runner-up, but now she could make it all the way,” host Terry Crews said.

“I mean Angelica, you are like the little boss lady that you are,” Klum said. “You came here to win and I can see that, I can feel that.”

While judge Mel B told Hale that she could have sang the song better by making it her own, Mandel countered and pressed the Golden Buzzer button for Hale.

In an interview with People Magazine, Hale said that it felt surreal knowing that she is the first contestant to win two Golden Buzzers.

Hale, being one of the youngest contestants of the show, said that she is no longer scared of performing in front of an audience. However, she admitted that she feels nervous competing against Britain’s Got Talent Season 3 runner-up Susan Boyle, who she described as a “legend”.
