Mariel Padilla shares post on “good vs bad perception” amid online scrutiny on husband

TV host Mariel Padilla shared an intriguing social media post highlighting how a person may be labeled “bad” despite unseen good deeds, while others are perceived as “good” despite hidden wrongdoings.

Padilla reposted via Instagram Stories an illustration from an account named “Fact by Google,” showing two men standing on separate icebergs. In the image, one figure accuses the other of being “bad,” focusing only on visible mistakes while ignoring unseen positive actions.

The illustration also suggested that individuals perceived as “good” may have committed hidden faults that are not visible to the public, underscoring how perception can be shaped by selective information.

Padilla did not provide any additional explanation for her repost.

The post drew attention online as it came amid heightened public scrutiny involving her husband, Senator Robin Padilla, who has recently faced criticism in connection with political developments and Senate proceedings.

Robin Padilla was earlier named by the National Bureau of Investigation as a “person of interest” in the search for Senator Ronald dela Rosa, who is facing an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court over alleged crimes linked to the previous administration’s drug war.

Before this, the senator also figured in a verbal exchange with Senator Francis Pangilinan during a plenary session, after demanding an apology over a heated confrontation in the chamber.

As of writing, neither Mariel nor Robin Padilla has issued further comment regarding the post or its timing.
