Kapamilya actor Diego Loyzaga posted a photo on his Instagram Story amid rumors of his alleged suicide attempt.
On November 11, Loyzaga posted a photo of an advertisement for a local juice product. He did not post anything else but it was enough to let his fans know that he is in good condition as of the moment.
It can be recalled that the Kapamilya star was speculated to be the subject of a blind item which talked about a young actor who tried to take his own life.
PEP.ph then reported that during the last day of the wake of singer Rico J. Puno, people were talking about the attempted suicide of a young actor. The entertainment website said that some of their sources pertained to Kapamilya actor Diego Loyzaga.
According to the report, an unconfirmed news said that Loyzaga tried to take his own life on November 6 after he talked to someone over the phone.
Loyzaga’s companion inside the house immediately called paramedics to attend to the actor before rushing him to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.
The actor’s parents, Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga, did not answer when PEP.ph tried to reach out to them.
The entertainment website also called Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist and Montano’s good friend Dolly Anne Carvajal for confirmation but she did not answer as well.
They were only able to get a response from Star Magic, the talent management that handles Loyzaga’s career.
Through public relations head Thess Gubi, the entertainment website received a text message that neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
The young actor has already been discharged from the hospital, as told by Bandera.
