LOOK: Regine Velasquez signs exclusive contract with ABS-CBN

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez ended all of the rumors regarding her network transfer after she signed an exclusive contract with the Kapamilya network today, October 17.

The former Kapuso singer became emotional when she stepped inside the ABS-CBN compound for her contract which was attended by ABS-CBN executives such as ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, Chief Content Officer Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN TV Production Head Laurenti M. Dyogi, and business unit head Deo Endrinal, reported PEP.ph.

The ABS-CBN management decided to give Velasquez a grand treatment by rolling out a rolling out a red carpet as she was welcomed to her new home network.

“I’m very happy, excited. Overwhelmed right now,” Velasquez was quoted in one of the tweets of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications Department.

A few hours before her contract signing, Velasquez posted an Instagram Live video wherein she thanked all of her fans for their undying love and support.

“Thank you sa inyong lahat, sa lahat ng nagtatanggol, katawa. Thank you! This is another chapter in our lives. I’m very excited, I’m very nervous,” she said.

Velasquez is the most recent singer from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN following her former SOP co-hosts Jaya, Janno Gibbs, and husband Ogie Alcasid.

The Asia’s Songbird’s first project with the Kapamilya network will happen three days from now. It will be the ASAP in Sydney show which will be held on October 20 in Australia.

It was also rumored that she will be part of the new season of The Voice Philippines as one of the coaches, however, this has not yet been confirmed.
