Comedienne Pokwang took to her Twitter account to call out electric power distributor Meralco for cutting off their electricity.
Pokwang said in her tweet that they were not able to pay their bills on time because of her hectic schedule. However, she got infuriated when Meralco decided to cut their electricity off an hour after they settled their payment.
“Ang lupit niyo naman. Na-late lang ng ilang araw dahil sa sobrang busy sa work, di agad naasikaso ang bill na kayang-kaya ko naman bayaran. Putol agad kung kelan nabayaran na after one hour Walang pinagkaiba sa buwitre,” Pokwang wrote while tagging Meralco.

One netizen with the Twitter handle @jahanaarah_20 replied to Pokwang’s tweet asking criticizing Meralco for not having any consideration.

Meralco did not reply to Pokwang’s tweet. However, it responded to netizens who also replied to the comedienne’s tweet and complained about households with illegal electric connections.
