Former actress and singer Carol Banawa left Philippine show business years ago, but she recently showed her fans a snippet of her life abroad.
Banawa now holds a nursing degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Music talent manager David Cosico was one of the first people to greet and congratulate Banawa after her graduation in Northern Virginia Community College.
Banawa then took it to Instagram to share a series of photos taken from her graduation ceremony.
Filipino celebrities Rica Peralejo, Dimples Romana, and Jessa Zaragoza, also congratulated Banawa for her achievement.
It was back in September 2017 when Banawa shared on social media her journey to becoming a registered nurse in the United States.
Banawa rose to fame in the late 90s and early 2000s after appearing on several TV shows in the Philippines, such as “Tabing Ilog”, “Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggang”, and “Bituin”.
She is also the voice behind classic OPM songs “Bakit ‘Di Totohanin” and “Iingatan Ka”.
