Vice Ganda to fulfill Joven Olvido’s dream

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6 finalist Joven Olvido might not have won the top spot and brought home the 2-million cash prize, his stars will continue to shine as Vice Ganda offered him a role on his upcoming movie.

After earning one of the two highest scores during the semi-finals, Olvido advanced to the grand finals wherein he performed a variety comedic act.

He came short, however, and only finished third based on the number of votes he got from the judges and the viewers.

During the grand finals night, Olvido’s performance, according to judge Vice Ganda, lacked humor unlike his previous ones.

“I have to be honest, this is not your funniest performance. For me, mas nakakatawa yung mga mas nauna kaysa yung ngayong gabi,” he said.

“Pero I have a good news for you, nag-meeting ako sa Star Cinema kahapon at isa ka sa mga kasama ko sa pelikula. Kasama ka sa pelikula ko ngayong December. Isa ka nang artista. Congratulations,” Vice Ganda announced.

Vice Ganda is probably referring to Star Cinema’s entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival which annually takes place during Christmas season.

This is a great opportunity for Olvido since Vice Ganda’s MMFF comedy films have all ranked among the highest grossing Filipino films.

Vice Ganda also assured Olvido that he will be giving him a tricycle as a source of income.

“Kanina, niyakap ko siya, sabi ko, ‘Huwag ka mag-alala, magkikita pa tayo sa shooting, at saka ibibigay ko pa rin ang tricycle mo.'” ABS-CBN quoted Vice Ganda.

Kristel de Catalina, a spiral pole dancer from Antipolo, Rizal, was hailed as the winner of the recently concluded talent show, while ballroom dancers Julius and Rhea came in second.
