OWWA to hold first OFW Kabuhayan Expo on June 7

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) will hold its first OFW Kabuhayan Expo on June 7 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, bringing together government agencies, financial institutions, franchise brands, and private sector partners to provide services and opportunities for overseas Filipino workers and their families.

The one-day event, organized under OWWA’s Alagang OWWA program, aims to help OFWs access government services, livelihood assistance, entrepreneurship programs, skills training, and reintegration support as they prepare for life beyond overseas employment.

Among the services available are OWWA membership and e-Card registration, scholarship and certification opportunities, financial literacy seminars, business advisory services, and free medical consultations.

The expo will also feature franchise and livelihood opportunities from private sector partners, including banks, financing institutions, and business organizations.

OWWA said more than 15 government agencies, 20 private-sector partners, 10 franchise brands, and over 70 exhibitors and service providers are expected to participate.

An OWWA-TESDA memorandum of agreement signing will also be held during the event to expand training and upskilling opportunities for OFWs and their families.

The expo will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 7 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City. Admission is free.
