Luis Manzano revealed that he and girlfriend Jessy Mendiola have already been talking about marriage and settling down.
In an interview with PEP, Manzano revealed his plans on marrying his girlfriend but said that there are a lot of things to consider, one of which is the location.
“Destination wedding, siguro, iniisip namin kung saan pa, may mga choices na kaming naiisip. Kailangan lang naming siyempre pumunta kung saan man yun para ma-ocular.
“Kung dito? Hindi, iniisip din namin abroad,” he said.
It can be recalled that Mendiola posted a photo of her wearing a bridal gown on Instagram wherein Manzano commented, “soon po”.
When asked what he meant by this, he said: “Soon, yun naman talaga, hindi ko naman nilalabo o itinatago under different context. Yun naman talaga, yun ang goal naming lahat. Wala pa talaga [na date], but definitely soon. Kumbaga, it’s in immediate plan.”
Manzano said that he might tell jokes about getting married but there is always a hint of seriousness behind it.
“Minsan may mga punch lines ako hinahalo. Siya [Jessy] din, pero basically, seryoso naman ang intensiyon namin pag pinag-uusapan namin,” Manzano said.
The 36-year-old actor and TV host also said that his parents, Vilma Santos and Edu Manzano, are the ones who are most excited for him to get married.
“Kung excited ako, mas excited siya mama. Sabi ko nga, sila ni Daddy, mas pinu-push ang apo, e,” he said.
However, amid the talks about marriage, Manzano and Mendiola are not yet engaged.
When asked when will he propose to his girlfriend, Manzano said: “Siyempre secret na yun kung kailan mangyayari. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, mangyayari yun pag nakaano yung card mo.
“Ako naman, anytime, okay ako, pero sabi ko nga, mas gusto kong sundin ang timeline niya.”
