Actress Angel Locsin has confirmed via Twitter that she and football player Phil Younghusband have ended their relationship.
Locsin maintained that the breakup was a mutual decision. She wasn’t keen, however, to divulge the reason for the split.
But if anything, she was only too eager to extend her appreciation to people who supported their relationship.
Locsin and Younghusband officially became a couple in May of last year, following a year-long romance that started with a simple tweet from Younghusband asking the actress out for a date.
Prior, the ex-couple had admitted to discussing wedding plans. Younghusband at one point even insisted that Locsin is “the one.”
Locsin, for her part, expressed happiness and contentment with their relationship but maintained that she wasn’t ready for marriage as yet.
Rumors of the couple’s separation surfaced on Monday, with fans noting the seeming coldness between the two as observed via their social networking sites.
