Dubai has sent out a fleet of drones to disinfect streets across the emirate as part of the National Disinfection Program, which has been extended until April 5.

This move is being regularly conducted to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.

Dubai’s creative use of drones for sterilization gained traction on social media

Some netizens are even comparing it to a sci-fi movie.

A netizen can’t help himself but be amazed at how Dubai tempers the spread of COVID-19 this way.

Disinfection teams have been deployed to work from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to sterilize the streets, public and private facilities.

Earlier, the multi-functional drones were used by Dubai Police to remind residents to stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

Drones are monitoring the roads to ensure that people are complying with the #Stay home initiative of the UAE government.
