As much as the building up of the rainy season provides much-needed break from 40-to-45-degree Celsius days, these days are also expected to bring in inconvenience to some businesses and schedules.
The National Center for Meteorology and Seismology observed rainfall in some parts of the UAE this weekend, which could have delayed residents’ appointments.
NCMS said Fujairah and Khor Fakkan experienced rainfall on Friday and Saturday.
The Filipino Times previously reported that rainy days may hit several parts of the UAE until Monday.
“Partly cloudy to cloudy in general and hazy at times. Some clouds may form over northern and eastern areas, may associated with rainfall at time. Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times with clouds activity and causing blowing dust, sand over the exposed areas,” NCMS announced on Twitter.
The beginning of the rainy season also signals motorists to take extra safety measures to avoid road accidents.
NCMS also reminded UAE drivers to stay away from water pools near the eastern highlands.
