Dubai Municipality launches ‘Future Talents’ Scholarship Program for UAE national students

The Dubai Municipality has officially launched the registration process for the highly anticipated ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program, designed to cater to UAE national university students specializing in sought-after scientific disciplines in the job market.

In a tweet on Friday, the Dubai Media Office specified the enrollment conditions, noting the agency’s commitment to the growth and development of its future leaders.

“Dubai Municipality has opened registrations for the ‘Future Talents’ scholarship programme, aiming to attract UAE national university students and develop their specialised capabilities and future skills that qualify them in various fields of the Municipality’s operations,” it wrote.

Aisha Al Hammadi, Director of the Human Resources Department at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the program’s significance in aligning with the city’s strategic goals and the visionary leadership’s directives.

“The ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program supports the Emiratisation policy in Dubai, and is consistent with the measures undertaken by Dubai Municipality to put our wise leadership’s directives into practice. Through this program, we hope to attract talented Emirati students, develop their abilities, broaden their scientific knowledge, offer them practical experience, and equip them with the tools necessary to tackle the challenges of the future,” Al Hammadi stated.

“These initiatives further complement our commitment to the advancement of our workforce and expansion of specialized careers across Dubai Municipality’s fields of work,” she added.

The selected disciplines in the program have been carefully chosen to cater to the municipality’s specific employment sectors, intending to bolster workforce sustainability in these fields.

Moreover, the ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program welcomes students from a range of scientific disciplines, including civil and architectural engineering, agricultural engineering and sciences, public health, environmental sciences, sustainability and environmental health, food security, and information systems with a specialization in data science and business solutions. Additionally, information technology enthusiasts specializing in application development, networking, and cloud computing are also eligible to apply.

To be considered for the program, applicants must be UAE citizens currently enrolled in their third or fourth academic year within one of the specified majors. They should maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3 and not hold more than one scholarship simultaneously. Male students must have completed their national service to qualify.

The ‘Future Talents’ scholarship program vows to serve as a guiding force for talented Emirati students, laying a strong foundation for their future achievements and success.
