‘Eat Bulaga’ original hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon said that they were not the cause on why It’s Showtime will no longer be airing on the Kapatid Network.
“With due respect to TV5, I don’t think the phrase ‘bumped off’ should be used,” Tito said in a media briefing.
“Di naman sila na-bump off, e. Natapos na yung kontrata nila. So, in fairness to TV5, walang naba-bump off. Matatapos yung kontrata, yun ang pagkakaalam namin,” Tito added.
Joey then agreed with Tito Sen and said that they did not bump off It’s Showtime.
“Una, hindi na-bump off. Mangyayari at mangyayari yan,” he added.
Joey also reacted on It’s Showtime announcement that it will be moving to a new home, GTV.
Ang panlaban nila, 15 years ata lang or 12. Kami raw, 44.
Biro niyo, nabuhay lahat, e. Lahat nagulantang, lahat nayanig. Masaya, kaya masaya. Good,” Joey explained.
