Four guests of the resort in Caloocan that violated quarantine protocols have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Caloocan City administrator Oliver Hernandez, four guests out of 43 guests who underwent antigen test for COVID-19 returned positive.
Of the four, one manifested symptoms while the rest were asymptomatic.

Hernandez said the four COVID-19 positive guests will be transferred to an isolation facility.
At least 360 contact tracing stubs were collected from the resort in which 129 were immediately traced.
Gubat sa Ciudad resort was shut down on May 10, 2021, after photos and videos of a crowd enjoying the resort’s pool on Mother’s Day went viral.
The resort management and the barangay captain were charged for opening the resort despite the implementation of quarantine protocols that prohibit resort operations in MECQ areas.

The city government of Caloocan filed charges against the owners of the Gubat sa Ciudad.
They were charged with violations of Republic Act No. 11332 or Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act and the Ordinance Mandating the Strict Implementation of Social or Physical Distancing of People and Other Relevant Measures to Curb the Spread of COVID-19.
