The Philippines is expecting to receive at least thirty million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from vaccine manufacturer NovaVax by September, the Philippine ambassador to India said on Monday.
Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of India Ramon Bagatsing Jr. added that eight million doses of Covaxin developed by Bharat Biotech are slated to arrive next month.

“Thirty million doses siguro mga September ito, ito yung tie up ng Serum [Institute of India] with the company NovaVax of Maryland USA, brand name will be CovaVax,” Bagatsing told ABS-CBN News.
Despite the vicious surge of COVID-19 infections, Bagatsing said India assured that the exportation of vaccines will not be affected nor compromised.

“Next month may mga eight million din doses siguro, ang pangalan niyan Covaxin,” the envoy said.
“So ngayon nagfast-track sila. Pinautang ng gobyerno itong dalawang company to double their production, para sa mga kababayan nila sa India and sa world,” he furthered.
