250 gov’t workers in Sharjah vaccinated

As part of the campaign to stem the spread of COVID-19, 250 employees from the Sharjah Public Works Department (SPWD) have been vaccinated for free.

The vaccination was organized in coordination with the Ministry of Health, as per a report from Khaleej Times.

Abdullah Bu Ali, Director of the Department of Human and Financial Resources, Ministry of Health Society, said the employees were vaccinated at the SPWD’s main headquarters in Nasiriyah area, the report added.

Prior to the vaccination, the department made a list of employees who signified their intention to be vaccinated.

The department ensured that those who expressed willingness to get the vaccine met the requirements for taking the vaccine.

Bu Ali said the vaccination will help bring work and life back to normal especially those who were vaccinated who belong to the vulnerable category such as especially engineers, observers, and those working in the field.

Even after receiving the jab, the employees were still reminded to continue observing health protocols. (CC)
