A new initiative encouraging residents to sing the UAE national anthem from their balconies and windows has been launched in the UAE.
This was announced by the Abu Dhabi Media Office via Twitter on Wednesday night.
The initiative entitled ‘Together We Chant for UAE’ aims to pay tribute to frontliners in country’s fight against COVID-19 and boost their morale.
Residents are encouraged to sing the UAE hymn every Wednesday and Friday, 9 pm. They may share photos and videos on social media to spread hope, positivity and support during this trying times.

To recall, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, penned a thank you message upon hearing some residents singing the UAE hymn from their balconies and windows amid the COVID-19 crisis.
“My eyes were almost full of tears, when I heard about expatriates singing our national anthem, with videos circulating on social media,” His Highness said.
“We are honored to serve all people that live in the UAE,” His Highness added.
