Filipinos can now avail their own free electronic visa to two Russian areas – St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region starting October 1.
The Russian Embassy to the Philippines has released the process on how Filipinos can get the visa-free policy:
1. Fill in an e-visa application form here: Russia free e-visa processing
2. Get an e-visa grant notification on the website or by email.
3. Print out the notification or download it to your mobile device.
4. Show the notification to a transport company employee.
5. Show the notification to a Border Service officer at the border crossing point
The Russian Embassy says that the e-visa policy will not be applicable through rail transport.
The free e-visa will be granted for the following reasons – tourism, business and humanitarian reasons. The visa will only be valid for 8 days.
Visa applications must not be made later than 4 days before the trip and not 20 days earlier than the scheduled trip.
