Ray Parks Jr., son of legendary PBA import Bobby Ray Parks, is likely to suit up again for the Gilas national team after showing up at the group’s practice at the Meralco gym, Pasig City on Tuesday.
Parks, who played for Gilas in the Fiba Olympic qualifiers in Manila last year, practiced with other members of the team pool, including Kevin Alas, Mike Tolomia, Ed Daquioag and Almond Vosotros.
National coach Chot Reyes told Parks to show up after the former UAAP MVP called him, according to Charlie Dy, his manager.
Gilas is coming from a successful Southeast Asian Basketball Association (Seaba) Championship campaign last month. The victory qualified the team for the 2017 FIBA-Asia Cup happening later this year in Lebanon.
