Actor and senatoral race frontrunner Robin Padilla has tapped former chief presidential legal counsel and senatorial candidate Sal Panelo to be his legal adviser.
Padilla shared photos of his meeting with Panelo and PDP-Laban President Alfonso Cusi. Panelo lost in the 2022 senatorial race.
“Kailangan ko ng pambato sa usapin ng batas pagdating sa senado. Ang pagpapalit ng saligang batas ay hindi magiging madali sapagkat ang babanggain nito ay ang kasalukuyang naghaharing mga oligarko nakakubli sa 1987 constitution,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
Padilla topped the list of senatorial candidates with over 26.4 million votes.
Padilla gained over three million votes in Central Luzon, two million from Central Visayas, and over one million votes each from Ilocos Region, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Loren Legarda ranked second followed by Raffy Tulfo in third place.
