The Metro Manila Development Authority now considers all residents of the region as ‘persons under monitoring’ for coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
“Lahat tayo ay parang persons under monitoring na,” MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia said in a media briefing.
The MMDA added that the new metro wide curfew from 8PM to 5AM is to prevent people from doing unnecessary travels and to prevent the spread of the virus.
The MMDA, however, says medical workers, food deliverers, and grocery employees are exempted from the curfew in Metro Manila.
“Tigilan muna natin yung intriga yung paano ganito, paano ganyan? Isipin muna natin paano hindi gumalaw,” Garcia added.
