The Department of Foreign Affairs reported that 80 Filipinos have tested positive for the coronavirus onboard Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan.
“Per Tokyo [Philippine Embassy], 80 Filipinos from the Diamond Princess cruise have so far tested positive for COVID-19,” DFA Undersecretary Brigido Dulay said on Twitter.

Dulay added that out of the 80 patients, 10 were already cleared and were discharged by Japanese health officials.

“Remaining Filipino crew for repatriation today have all tested negative,” he added.
Repatriation is now underway for more than 400 Filipinos crew members of the cruise ship.
