The number of infected Filipinos onboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan has risen to 59.
Authorities recorded ten more cases according to the Department of Health on Monday.

Health Assistant Secretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that two Filipino patients have recovered and were discharged from the hospital.
Five more are expected to be released within the week according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.

A total of 538 Filipinos were onboard the M/V Diamond Princess.
400 Filipinos from the cruise ship are expected to arrive this week and will be subjected to another quarantine in New Clark City in Tarlac.
