The outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in South Korea is entering a “grave situation”.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun expressed this in a press briefing, according to CNN.
However, he said that the government is “doing its best to prevent the spread”.

As of this writing, there are now 433 cases in the country with two recorded deaths.
The Prime Minister has urged people to not attend events where many people gather, such as religious events, or to consider other ways such as online meetings.

In addition, those acts that will interfere with the country’s quarantine efforts will be sternly dealt with by the government.
These acts include illegal hoarding of hygiene products and mass rallies.
