China reported 142 new deaths on Sunday bringing the death toll from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-2019) to 1665.
According to People’s Daily report, 2,009 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the Chinese mainland.
Hubei, the epicenter of the outbreak, recorded 139 fatalities and 1843 confirmed cases including 888 clinically diagnosed cases in the last 24 hours.
France reported the first fatality of COVID-19 in Europe and outside Asia.
The total infection number soared to 68,500 globally.
