An Asian driver died while another was injured when a truck crushed on his minibus in a fatal accident on the evening of February 9 in Umm Al Quwain.
The heavy truck flattened the minibus, trapping two people on board, reported Khaleej Times.
The UAQ Police General Command immediately sent patrol vehicles, civil defense, and national ambulance teams to the site.
UAQ Police said the Asian driver of the minibus died on the spot due to severe head injury. His lone passenger sustained heavy injuries.
Both the driver’s body and passenger were brought to Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital.
Rescue tools and equipment were used to extract the people trapped in the vehicle.
