UAE to impose 14-day leave for students, staff who traveled to China

Schools in the UAE were urged to order a 14-day leave for students and staff who have a recent travel history from China, according to new guidelines released by the Ministry of Education.
The order also covers the students and staff who have family members who returned in the country from China, as per a report from Emarat Al Youm.
The student or educational staff will be excused for 14 days from the date of their arrival from China and were advised to stay in their home.
The advisory also urged parents to take their children to consult a doctor if they noticed any symptoms of flu or respiratory problems.
The Department of Education and Knowledge sent text message explaining that there are no confirmed reports of the novel coronavirus in Abu Dhabi yet.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s education authority maintained that there are no cases of the novel coronavirus reported in the capital.
