PH turns over Federation flag to Vietnam at SEAG closing ceremony

After the 12-day long Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, the Philippines passed the Federation flag to Vietnam as the next host of the 31st SEA Games.

The Philippines bagged the most wins by garnering a total of 387 medals.

During closing ceremony on December 11, Wednesday at New Clark City Athletics Stadium, the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) chair and speaker Alan Peter Cayetano passed the flag to the Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino then to President of Vietnam Olympic Committee, and lastly to the Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee.

It will be Vietnam’s second hosting of the biennial event in 2021.

The multi-sport event will be held in Hanoi from November 21 to 2 December 2021 with 11 participating nations.

There will be around 36 to 40 sports, primarily those played at the Olympics.
