Cavite Police operatives have arrested a Nigerian national for allegedly swindling Php8 million from his Filipina lover in Treze Martires City, Cavite.
The suspect was identified as Chimaobi Michael Orjianya and currently resides in Dasmariñas City.
According to a police report, the suspect had an online relationship with his victim. He was able to extort at least Php8 million from his partner, saying he has $28 million on his incoming baggage.
Orjianya was arrested after his money mule Rosevic Saraum was also arrested.
The police were able to seize an ATM card, four sim cards, two cellphones and cash amounting to Php400,000.
Orjianya is now facing estafa and swindling charges. He is likewise facing charges for being an illegal alien in the country.
