UAE temperature drops, lowest temp recorded at 9.5C

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), said residents can expect fair and partly cloudy days in generally low temperatures.

“The lowest temperature recorded over the country this morning was 9.5 °C in Jais Mountain at 4:45am,” the NCM said in a tweet.

Interior regions will have temperatures ranging from 29°C to 34°C, 28°C to 33°C on coastal areas and 21°C to 27°C in the mountainous side.

“Some clouds will appear over western areas. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times towards eastwards,” the NCM added.

Sea goers are also being warned on rough seas in the Oman Seas.

Fresh winds in the Oman sea can reach to 40kph.

The NCM said that waves of up to 6 feet high will be experienced. Residents should take extra caution when going to the beach.

Moderate seas can be expected in the Arabian Gulf.
