A woman in Valenzuela City sustained injuries after she was hit in the head with a hammer by her female neighbor last week.
A report on GMA News said the victim, Rosalinda Acosta was just walking in front of the suspect identified as Sarah Hasan when she was hit with a hammer.
The suspect allegedly kicked the victim, pulled her hair and hit her with a hammer in the head.
Barangay officials said that gossip or tsismis was the main reason why the suspect did this to the victim.
Investigators, on the other hand, believe that grudge and anger pushed the suspect to commit such act.
Residents were able to stop the two from fighting. Acosta was immediately rushed to the hospital while Hasan was brought to the police station.
“Nagdilim lang po ang paningin ko,” Hasan said in an interview with the authorities.
