A Pakistani family with fake Canadian visas were held at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
They were allegedly attempting to board a Philippine Airlines flight to Canada and presented passports with fake Canadian visas.
The Pakistanis, who were identified as Mohsin Maqsood, Iqra Mohsin, and Rida Mohsin, admitted to buying their fake visas from a Pakistani and an Indian national. They paid almost half a million pesos for processing, officials said.
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) verified the documents with Canadian authorities and found that their visas were indeed fake.
The family was brought to the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City pending deportation.
