A Ras Al Khaimah university professor who found a picture of an attractive woman on his car inviting him to a massage session in Dubai was so excited that he called the number and drove straight to the other emirate.
The unnamed victim was not aware that it was just a trap and got the shock of his life when he reached the apartment which he had thought would be his love nest, reported the Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum.
Just as he stepped into the flat, three women and a man jumped on him, beat him up and stripped him off his clothes before they filmed him naked.
They then robbed his money and seized his bank visa card, which they used to withdraw large sums of money.
The professor was locked up in the flat for two days, during which the four managed to steal at least Dh100,000 from him.
Newspapers said the women used some of the money to buy new handsets worth Dh8,000 and to have a luxury dinner at a 5-star hotel.
When he was released, the four threatened that they would publish his photographs online if he reports them to the police and that he must give them more money.
“He drove to Ras Al Khaimah and went straight to the police, who told him to go back to Dubai and report the incident to the police.”
Dubai Police asked him to contact them and offer more money for an entrapment operation.
When they met, the police swooped in and arrested the man and two women. The third woman is still at large.
