63 undocumented Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Kuwait are heading back to the Philippines.
One of the 63 repatriated workers, ‘Marilyn’ told ABS-CBN News that she was an undocumented worker for two years.
Most of the undocumented workers are household service workers, victims of physical abuse, aren’t given adequate food, with late monthly salary.
This is the fifth batch of of undocumented OFWs repatriated back to the country under the Embassy Assisted Repatriation Program (EARP) in partnership with the Kuwaiti government.
At least 264 undocumented OFWS were able to go back home under EARP this year.
Undocumented OFWs who also want to go home can coordinate with EARP hotline at the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait.
