DFA consulate staff held at South Korea for marijuana oil

The Foreign Affairs Department is now conducting a probe on its personnel held at Incheaon International Airport in South Korea for possession of cannabis oil.

The DFA said that an investigation is launched to determine the accountability of their personnel and why a violation was committed.

The DFA issued Show Cause Orders to their personnels to give their explanation on the South Korea incident that took place in August 2.

Sources told Manila Bulletin that the DFA personnel could’ve been a victim of the ‘paki-padala’ scheme.

This practice has caused a number of problems to Filipino travellers after realizing that they are carrying prohibited items.
