Filipina found dead in freezer in Texas

A 24-year-old Filipina believed to be murdered by her own husband was found dead in a freezer on Monday while the latter was also found lifeless with a gunshot wound in their home in Liverhome Drive, Arlington, Texas.

According to Dallas News, the Filipina identified as Alyssa Marie Mejia Rogers was found in the freezer and the police are uncertain how long has she been dead and kept there.

Her husband Edward Leon Rogers, 66, reportedly admitted to a former co-worker on Sunday night that he killed his wife.

At first, Edward’s friend did not believe him but he, later on, showed the freezer in their garage where Alyssa’s body was kept.

In an affidavit, the witness told police that Edward “grabbed the buttocks of the deceased person, smirked, and stated that it was cold”.

According to Texas authorities, the couple got into a heated argument that turned deadly. Alyssa hit her head on the corner of an object during their argument.

Court records show that Alyssa has been a victim of domestic violence by Edward.

Based on Alyssa’s Facebook page, they have a one-year-old son.
